Real Housewives of Orange County: “Are we brawling? Where do we live? Are we in Jersey?”
Another episode of Real Housewives of Orange County , another hour of mostly filler where nothing awesome happened except an almost-fight. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by the table-flipping and wig-tugging of, as Ludacris would say, the hoes in other area codes, but all we saw last night was a tupperware party, some family problems with minor children that should have been private, an awkward office tanning party and a day at the races where everyone was more concerned with their big hats than the horses. So, when is Lynn going to get kicked out of her house?

Cute makeup bag of the week: piggy pouch
Miss Piggy would be proud to keep her powder puff and other beauty essentials in this cute little fabric cosmetic bag from handmade label Madame Cupcake. I really like its simplicity, and think it would make a great gift.

Marc by Marc Jacobs R Special Colorblock Collection
Along with his continual throwback to the’60s this spring, Marc by Marc Jacobs again channels color blocking in a clever combination of hues. The “R Special Color block” collection palette reminds me of the circa 1962 Eero Saarinen designed terminal at JFK

Kelly Osbourne rocks Marc Jacobs fluoro tweed
It’s sometimes hard to imagine how a bag – particularly one that’s quite a show-stopper in its own right – will look once it’s positioned on an actual body. Kelly Osborne has provided us with a canvas in this case, as she hits the street in Marc Jacobs fluorescent tweed shoulder bag – an item I have to admit I was not convinced by in isolation.

Spring greens at Comme des Garcons
Green isn’t a colour we tend to associate with accessories much, and while it can be a difficult colour to match for larger items, there are some lovely spring-like shades available that will fit beautifully inside your more versatile black or beigey number.

Another adorable item from See by Chloe
See by Chloe seem to be hitting all the right spots at the moment. You can’t go too far wrong with a soft slouch bag like this one; stylishly adorned with triangular zip pulls and a pom-pom that just screams ‘play with me now!’

Fantastic florals at New Look
There are some fantastic floral prints available at the moment and it’s a style we’re going to be seeing much more of in the spring. But my favourite flowery piece from the high street by far has got to be this cute cross-body bag from New Look. It has that lovely, sunny combination of tan and brights, with a pattern that’s just a little bit Cath Kidston without the price tag

Multi-charm handcrafted ‘love’ keyring
However you feel about the valentine’s “thing” (and with over three weeks to go, there’s always time to change your mind on it one way or another!) you’ve got to admit that this keyring, whose miniature key-charms spell out the word ‘love’, is rather cute.

Opening Ceremony’s ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ range
I loved the film version of Where the Wild Things Are to bits, and thought it was an awesome interpretation of the book I’d enjoyed as a child. Now it’s the turn of fashion designers to interpret the film’s look and feel in their own work, and Opening Ceremony has a whole range of Wild Things-related bags, clothes and accessories.

‘Indigo’ slouch bag at Dorothy Perkins
For the majority of shoppers, the ideal bag is affordable, roomy, stylish and just that little bit different that it’ll draw a second glance. This ‘Indigo’ slouch bag from Dorothy Perkins has all those qualities, and I think it would make a great choice for anyone looking to freshen up their accessories without breaking the bank

Paul Smith Accessories Mariella beach tote
This new tote from Paul Smith Accessories takes the term ‘beach bag’ a tad literally, but I love the colour scheme and just looking at that sunlit vista is reminding me that at some point, even if it’s not the immediate future, we’ll stop experiencing this intense cold. It’s a cheering thought!

Christian Louboutin JJR shopping bag
Christian Louboutin is the latest designer to prove that you can have an awful lot of fun with pastels. Personally, I find it quite a relief from all those intense neons that have been rife in the accessories world for some time, and the addition of blue and yellow brights is kept to a minumum here, making for a touch of extra interest.

Miu Miu Lurex Jeweled Shoulder Bag
I have a hard time pinning down the Miu Miu handbag aesthetic. Their bags seem to roam freely between minimalist and intricate, taking a pit stop at every level in between. Since “brand cohesion” is probably only something that obtuse fashion people (like moi) ever think/care about, it doesn’t necessarily seem to be a bad thing – it certainly brings them attention from a wide swath of stylish girls and women.

Where did Lady Sovereign get that pendant?
Lady Sovereign (or “Sov”, as fellow celebrities apparently don’t call her) entered the Big Brother house this week wearing a very interesting pendant. Clearly based on the potent Eye of Providence symbol, it’s already prompted speculation that Lady Sov is involved with an ‘occult plot’ within the house, apparently connected to rapper Jay-Z
